About

The Brand

We are a Production company based in Passau, but present internationally.

Ad Astra Per Aspera is more than just a name. It is a reminder that greatness is never born out of comfort but through persistence, creativity and resilience.

At AAPA Film we believe that every film should reach for the stars, by deliberately pushing through obstacles until vision becomes reality.

Our Brand stands for cinematic
storytelling that merges artistry with strategy and a unique understanding of the media world, always with one goal: to create work that truly resonates and endures.

I didn’t fall in love with filmmaking right away. In fact, when I first owned an expensive camera, I barely touched it. It was only later, at a time when I didn’t really know what I wanted to do, that I gave it another shot. And that’s when everything changed.

Since then, I’ve been all in. Every day I push myself to learn, to try new things, and to understand not just how films are made, but why they work. I’m fascinated by the parts most people tend to overlook, like how a certain framing can shift the psychology of a scene, or how storytelling and marketing intertwine to truly move an audience.

That curiosity also shaped my studies. For my bachelor’s thesis, which earned top marks, I analyzed James Bond: No Time To Die to explore how product placements can be woven into narrative and visuals and how that influences the audience’s emotions and perception.

Today, filmmaking isn’t just what I do. It’s what I live for. Sounds a bit corny, but its true. Every detail, from a single shot to the bigger story, is a chance to create something that doesn’t just look good, but leaves a feeling that stays.

Creative Vision

„Story is about trying to grasp the human experience. Without it, film is nothing but a technical exercise“ – Robert McKee

This principle defines everything we create. While the modern media world often tries to outdo itself with visuals that are more stunning than the last, we believe what truly stands out is what truly matters. Something that can be felt.
Whether it’s awe, nostalgia, adrenaline, longing, or anything in between. If the right people feel the right emotion, they won’t forget what they just experienced.
